Refreshing homemade popsicles
With the scorching hot temperatures that have been prevailing, eating popsicles can be a wonderful way to cool off! The latter are widely found at grocery stores but with this recipe, you can easily make your own. Using fruits for this recipe is a great means to sweeten the popsicles naturally as well as adding extra fibre to your diet. You can also get creative by choosing different fruits such as peaches, nectarines, mangoes, pineapple and watermelon.
If you do not have popsicle molds, you can use a small paper cups lined with aluminum foil to hold the wooden stick in place as shown in the picture.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Freezing time: 2-3 hours
Quantity: 4-6 portions
Ingredients
- 1 cup of berries
- 1 cup of plain yogurt
- A few mint leaves
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Instructions
- In a blender, place all the ingredients and puree until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into your molds or paper cups.
- Freeze for 2-3 hours.
